KANO – The Assistant Inspector General of police zone 1, Shu’aibu Lawal Gambo Thursday admitted lapse over Ese abduction saga.

Addressing reporters in his office, Mr Gambo said that “we ought to have followed up the case but our believe was that the Sharia Commission would resolve the matter.”

The Assistant Inspector General of police however disclosed that it is only the Inspector General of police that can confirm Ese health status.

He said “the force headquarters are in better position to explain her health status because they are the people that conduct medical examination on her.
