A counter-terrorism operation in Brussels Friday was linked to the arrest of a Frenchman in Paris a day earlier, said to be in the advanced stages of planning an attack, a police source said.
The French police source said the raids in the Brussels suburb of Schaerbeek were related to the investigation around the arrest of 34-year-old Reda Kriket in Paris on Thursday who was found with heavy weapons and explosives in his apartment.
