PORT HARCOURT— Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has said that it was unfortunate that opposition politicians were busy sponsoring lies to paint Rivers State in bad light.
Speaking, yesterday at Government House, Port Harcourt, when he led the caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the senate on a visit to Governor Nyesom Wike, Akpabio described the victory so far recorded by the PDP in the re-run elections as a clear case of justice from heaven.
He appealed for political tolerance on the part of the opposition for democracy to thrive in the state.
On his part, Governor Wike accused the Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, of allegedly sponsoring violence in the state to gain political relevance.
