THE people of Delta Central senatorial district, yesterday, went into jubilation, following the swearing-in of Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege as the senator representing the district by the President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki, at the National Assembly, in Abuja.

Enugu State Executive Council has approved the release of N184,476,135.98, for various developmental projects in the state.
Commissioner for Information, Godwin Udeuhele, made this known during a briefing at the end of the council meeting presided over by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi at the Government House, Enugu, yesterday.

Association of Anioma Professionals, AAP, has said that it was compiling a data base of unemployed youths in the state, with the aim of partnering the government in combating unemployment and youth restiveness in the state.

THE Iwere Peace Movement, a socio-cultural organization in the Niger Delta, has appealed to the Federal Government to halt the continued arrest and harassment of Ijaw youths in the Niger Delta, particularly in Warri. It argued that the action is creating tension in the region.
