The Artists’ Village, considered as the only space that still brews creativity and activity within the National Arts Theatre, was allegedly demolished following the directive from the National Arts Theatre General Manager, Kabiru Yusuf, on Saturday, January 23, 2016.

BIAFRA: MASSOB appeals for release of 23 members from detention

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, yesterday, appealed to the Federal Government to release 23 members of the group in detention even as it raised alarm over the antics of its erstwhile leader, Ralph Uwazuruike. The group alleged Uwazuruike was planning to attack its headquarters in Okwe, Onu-Imo Local Government Area of Imo State in a desperate bid to restore himself as leader of the pro-Biafra group.

FG’s N300b innovation seed fund to create 35,000 jobs

THE N300 billion innovation fund released by the Federal Government of Nigeria as seed fund to grow local technology start-ups, is expected to create up to 35,000 jobs in the country. The seed fund will work in concert with the $50 million target seed fund which an investment company, EchoVC, has promised to inject for the growth of African tech startups. EchoVC is the sole manager of the Federal Government’s fund.
