PORT HARCOURT— SENATOR Magnus Abe has called for a violence-free re-run election in his Rivers South-East senatorial district.

Abe, who spoke in Port Harcourt, yesterday, said he was drumming up the need for a violence-free election in his constituency,  expressing the hope that the era of impunity was over.

He said that the financial challenge facing the nation occasioned by the drop in the price of crude oil was enough reason to vote for credible and patriotic leaders who would focus on building every aspect of the country.

“My new year message is simple. Our country is going through challenging times, the drop in the price of crude oil has created a challenge for us as a nation. At this time we need patriotic leaders,” he said.
