President, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, said on Monday that the federation would soon inaugurate a Beach Soccer and Futsal League in the country.

Toshiba to cut 7,000 jobs in PC, TV units over accounting scandal

Japan’s Toshiba Corp said on Monday it would cut nearly 7,000 consumer electronics jobs after a 1.3 billion dollars accounting scandal. Toshiba also said it would sell its television manufacturing plant in Indonesia and that eventual job cuts could be over 10,000, including previously announced cuts and those seeking voluntary early retirement.

Man in prison for allegedly killing co-tenant over N5,000 electricity bill

A man, Chukwuebuka Okeke, who allegedly beat a co-tenant to death over N5,000 electricity bill, was on Monday remanded in Lagos prisons. An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court which gave the ruling, said the accused should be remanded at Ikoyi Prisons pending advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
