A 49-year-old lawyer, Shina Ibrahim, and his accomplice, Falilulai Sarumi, a businessman, 67, were yesterday arraigned before a Tinubu Magistrate’s Court for allegedly obtaining N13 million under the false pretence of selling a landed property.

Four persons were yesterday arrested by Jigawa State command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, for committing sodomy with a 16-year-old boy, Umar Sani, in Taura Local Government Area.
According to the boy, the suspects who reside in the same local government, defiled him at different locations within their community and threatened to kill him if he tells anybody.

The Akwa Ibom State Governorship ElectionPetitions Tribunal on Thursday concluded hearing in the petition brought before it by the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Umana Okon Umana against the election of Governor Udom Emmanuel of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Umana had approached the tribunal challenging conduct of the election and declaration of Udom Emmanuel as winner.
