Group urges FG to reverse policy of abandonment of S’East projects, neglect of Ndigbo

Worried by the continued dilapidation of federal infrastructure in the South East, alleged abandonment of federal projects particularly the 2nd Niger Bridge, and the seeming neglect of Ndigbo in the scheme of things in the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, the Igboezue International Association of Nigeria and Diaspora has asked the All Progressives Congress, APC, led government to reverse the trend.

Unit Holders ratify Zenith’s Ethical, Income, Equity dividend

Unit Holders of Zenith’s Ethical, Income and Equity Fund have unanimously endorsed the proposed payment of dividends by the Board of Directors of the fund manager for the financial year ended December 31, 2013. The Board had recommended a dividend of 34 kobo per unit holding for the financial year 2013 as non was declared for the financial year ended December 31, 2014.

We need court to fight sub-standard products – Odumodu

The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) ‘s Director General, SON, Dr. Joseph Odumodu, says the fight against sub-standard and fake products in the country will be tackled with the creation of a special high court in that it will try importers engaged in such activities. He said though the country has lots of laws meant to deal with those who bring in fake and sub-standard products, he said a special court will be of great help in the fight against fake products in the country.

Petrol may not be up to 70 per litre if price template is reviewed – ASCSN

The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, ASCSN, has said that if the price template of petrol is reviewed downward to reflect global oil price reduction, then petrol may not be up to N70 per litter in Nigeria. The association which called for a confluence of stakeholders in the oil sector to dialogue and bring solution to the issue of fuel subsidy, however, commended the Federal Government for the N6.08 trillion 2016 budget announced on Tuesday just as it stressed the need for the content of the budget to be implemented for the benefit of all Nigerians.
