Biafra: MASSOB,IPOB deny setting Onitsha Central Mosque ablaze
Following ground swell protests at Ontisha,Anambra State and other states of the south-east geopolitical zone staged by members of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, and the Indigenous People of Biafra,IBOP,last Tuesday,calling on the Federal Government to release their detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu, the two pro-Biafra groups, Wednesday, disassociated selves from acts of arson and violence that culminated in the razing down of Onitsha Central Mosque and burning of some vehicles.
410 births, 187 marriages at IDP camps in 2 months – NEMA
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) says over 410 births and 187 marriages were recorded at Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Camps in Borno and Adamawa in August and September. This is contained in a statement issued by NEMA and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja.

Retired Col. Hameed Ali, the Comptroller -General, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), on Wednesday warned that he would either discipline, dismiss or jail any officer found guilty of corrupt practices. Ali gave the warning while addressing officers and men of the NCS in Calabar, capital of Cross River.
LASU reverses increased acceptance fee to N10, 000
The Lagos State University (LASU) has reversed the increased acceptance fee for the newly admitted students from N20,000 to N10,000. Mr Adeyemi Onikoro, President, Lagos State University Students Union (LASUSU), confirmed development to newsmen on Wednesday in Lagos. Onikoro said that the university’s authority had updated the website for the new students to pay N10, 000 as against N20, 000.
Stylist in court for abducting 14-year-old girl
A 23-year-old lady, Boluwatife Adewale, who abducted a 14-year-old girl, was on Wednesday brought before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos Adewale, a stylist, who lives at Ikotun area of Lagos, is facing a charge of abduction. The prosecutor, Sgt. Jimah Iseghede, told the court that the offence was committed between September and November at Abule-Egbeda area, a suburb of Lagos.
