LAGOS — The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, and a Non-Governmental Organisation, Youth Orientation for Development, YOD, will today hold an art exhibition in Lagos to highlight the challenges Nigerian women face during pregnancy and after delivery.

The art exhibition tagged: “Invitation to Health: A creative exploration into health on maternal and child health care/ mortality,” will showcase paintings depicting all aspects of pregnancy care, ante-natal, delivery and post natal care.

Chief Medical Director of LASUTH, who was represented by the Director Clinical Services, and Training, Dr. Adeoye Adedokun, at the media briefing, described the number of Nigerian women that die as a result of child birth as “gory.”
