Jos – A Member of the Board of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF who is also the Member representing Jos North/Bassa constituency in the House of Representatives, Suleiman Kwande has congratulated the Nigeria Golden Eaglets for wining the FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile.
Kwande also urged President Muhammadu Buhari to handsomely reward the boys who have made Nigeria proud by bringing the trophy to the country.
Speaking yesterday with journalists at the NUJ Press Centre, Jos, he lauded the Golden Eaglets for their wonderful performances during the just concluded tournament and called on the team to continue in the good work in subsequent tournament.
Commenting on the performances of the Super Eagles, Kwande tasked the Coach and players to shun “grudges and imbibe the spirit of togetherness” so that they can move the team forward.
His words, “I am delighted with the Sunday’s victory of the Golden Eaglets. It is a plus for the nation and I urge the team members to remain committed and focus. The Super Eagles should learn and imbibe the spirit cohesion in their performances so as to improve its FIFA’s ranking.”
