Dakuku Peterside, candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Rivers State governorship election, Tuesday lamented the death of Prince Abubakar Audu of Kogi State.

In a statement, Dakuku, who said he received news of the death with shock, sympathised with  Audu’s immediate family and people of Kogi State.

“The incident is very unfortunate, especially when viewed against the timing. Kogi people have been struggling for good governance and Audu would have provided that for them. It is really sad that he died at this time. I pray God to grant him eternal rest and his people, fortitude to bear the loss”.

He added that one of the ways people of the state can honour the deceased is by remaining true to his party, the APC, and to ensure a better Kogi, which he dreamt of.
