BENIN—FIRST Lady of Edo State, Iara Oshiomhole, yesterday, kicked off the 7th anniversary celebration of Governor Adams Oshiomhole in office with a party for the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, camp in Uhogua, Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State.

Meanwhile, Benin City is agog with the governor’s 7th anniversary which is scheduled for November 12, 2015.

Mrs. Oshiomhole, who had in July donated N2 million and food items to the displaced persons, said she decided to move the party to the camp since it would be difficult for the children to travel to Benin for the main occasion tomorrow.

She fed and danced with the children who were excited with her presence. Mrs Oshiomhole said, “This week is my husband’s seventh anniversary in office. We are celebrating with the people of Edo State and we felt it will be difficult for these kids to come to Benin City for the celebration, so we decided to bring the celebration to them.”
