Idris Wada

Lokoja—A former two-term Senator and Kogi West leader, Senator Tunde Ogbeha has hailed the administration of Governor Idris Wada for ensuring development in the state.
In an exclusive chat with Vanguard in Lokoja yesterday, Ogbeha said the governor performed well but refused to play the politics of performance.
He said: “With the resources at his disposal, Capt. Idris Wada has performed creditably. At times I wonder how he was able to execute all the projects he has executed as well as repay some of the loans owed by the state.
“The only thing the governor failed to do was play the politics of performance. Nigeria is not a place where you execute projects and keep quiet. You need to make noise about what you have done. Nobody will do it for you.
“The various empowerment programs executed by this government are enough to silence the opposition. With the right environment and partnership, this government have attracted a lot of foreign investments into the state. The administration has done well in the agricultural sector as well as the development of solid minerals which has created thousands of jobs.
“I saw some of the works done in our tertiary institutions and some secondary schools and I marvelled at the unpatriotic spirit of those still condemning the governor today.”
With the various projects going on in the health and tourism sectors and the support of the state to security agencies, Wada is the man to be trusted for another four years.
“I don’t know who to blame for the low publicity of government.”
