Chief Audu Ogbeh
By Peter Duru
MAKURDI—Former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, has condemned the outcry by a section of the people of Benue over the selection of Dr. Audu Ogbe as Ministerial Nominee from the state, describing it as unfair and unwarranted.
Speaking in a telephone interview yesterday in Makurdi, Tsav lauded the selection of Dr. Ogbe who is of the Idoma extraction, describing him as a man of honesty and integrity.
He stated that it would have amounted to injustice to deny the Idoma tribe of the state the Ministerial slot while the Tiv tribe had the governorship position.
Tsav said: “the hue and cry by some of our people over the nomination of Dr. Innocent Audu Ogbe as Benue state Ministerial Nominee is uncalled for.”
