YENAGOA—THE Bayelsa State Commissioner for Health, Dr Ayibatonye Owei, yesterday, said that the performance of Governor Seriake Dickson in all sectors of the state’s economy will guarantee his return as governor on December 5.

Owei, in Yenagoa while receiving leaders and members of a political group, Bayelsa Liberation Forum, BLF, in his office, said supporting Dickson second term was necessary to sustain the development efforts of the current administration.

According to Owei, the governor’s spread of developmental projects in the eight local government areas of the state had endeared him to the people, an indication that they will vote massively for him.

He said, “The development so far in the state health sector is unbeatable. Bayelsa healthcare delivery has undergone awesome changes; standard referral hospital projects are on-going in all the eight councils of the state and most of them are nearing completion.

“We want the good governance to continue in Bayelsa; the road map has been laid by Governor Dickson, let us unite and move our dear state forward. I must say that the current governor is not the politician that teaches how to eat fishes, but how to catch fishes, that is why he has chosen to embark on human capital development.”
