The final stage of Dufil’s indomie ‘Flash and Win promo’ has seen 20 year old Fatima Hamzat, who resides in Kano emerge as winner of the grand price of N1 million. The N1 million cheque was presented to her along three other winners of N100, 000, two from Lagos, and one from Ota, in Ogun State.

The promo, which started barely two month ago, only requires consumers to buy a sachet of Indomie noodles, flash the number printed on the sachet of the seasoning inserted in the pack at no cost, then the consumer gets an instant text message.

Speaking at the prize presentation ceremony at the company’s head office in Lagos, the Public Relations Manager,  Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, said:  “In this promo, what the consumers are expected to do is after every purchase of each sachet, there is a number inserted inside, which consumers are expected to just flash, and upon flashing the number, you get an instant text message which tells you that your phone number has been recorded and also welcoming you to the promo itself, and this is what is expected of you.’

The official of Consumer Protection Council (CPC) present at the event, Mr. Joshua, attested to the genuineness of the promo, saying that Dufil has genuine products that are beneficial to the consumers. He said ‘the company engaged themselves in the promo for a variety of reasons, but the important thing is that they encourage consumers to be able to benefit from the company.’

He added:  “They do this to let consumers know that their products are genuine, because if you look, you will see that nobody came out to say anything aside from the original, so, the fact that they are doing this promo shows that it has gone through all the certification process, and it has been certified by the greatest authority, and that this product is actually genuine, good for consumption and very okay for Nigerian consumers’

The grand prize winner expressed her appreciation to Indomie, saying that they have made her dream of university education a reality. She said she is a medicine applicant of Bayero University Kano (BUK), and that the prize of N1 million will go a long way in the supporting her education.
