Port Harcourt – Dolphins of Port Harcourt Manager, Stanley Eguma, said on Monday that Nigerian born Manchester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, had great potentials to do well in the English Premiership League.

Eguma, who was reacting to Iheanacho`s first goal in the EPL, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt that he was not surprised that the striker scored for his side.

“ It was a good one and a fantastic performance by Kelechi Iheanacho. We know that he will do well in the EPL because of abundant skills he has.

“ Kelechi has proved that he is a star to watch, given his credible outing at the FIFA U-17 world cup and also the FIFA U-20 world cup,“ he said.

Eguma said that Kelechi`s good outing with Manchester City was a blessing for Nigeria`s National U-23 team and possibly Super Eagles, depending on where he was called up.

He said the player should be encouraged by all fans and commended Man City coach, Manuel Pellegrini, for giving him the chance to show his skills for the club.

“ Kelechi Iheanacho is one player that we have confidence in his ability to do well. Some of us who have followed his career, believe that he has the potential to do well and we are not surprised that he is already showing it,“ he said.

The manager said that the player`s skills would be an advantage to his career and was optimistic that Man City would reap from him.(NAN)
