Plateau plans partnership with credible groups to curb violence

Jos—Any individual, group or organization ready to assist Plateau State government to achieve the desired peace in the state will get effective partnership of government, Governor Simon Lalong has said.

The governor reiterated that his administration would effectively partner with organizations ready to work to achieve the needed peace in the state as well as empower women and youths so they could positively contribute to the economy of the state.

Governor Lalong stated this at the weekend in Jos during the graduation ceremony of 221 persons trained by Apurimac Onlus, a Non-Governmental Organization.

The governor, who was represented by his deputy chief of staff, Silas Vem, commended the organisation for its initiative and charged other public-spirited individuals and organizations to emulate Apurimac Onlus in turning round the fortunes of the victims of Jos crises and others.
