Barely 24 hours, after the Ogun State Police Command picked 84 suspected cultists in Ado-odo/Ota council area, no fewer than two people were on Monday, feared killed in a bloody confrontation between rival cult groups in the state.

 

As early as 8.am today, reports indicated that cultists stormed Elega, Ago Odo and Adedotun areas in Abeokuta North local government of the state capital looking for their targets. This situation it was gathered caused pandemonium in the areas affected, as residents hurriedly closed their shops and houses, scampering for safety.

While Police patrol teams were seen roving the area, the State Police public Relations Officer (PRO), Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the development, hinting that the Police had began a manhunt for the killers.

He said the arrest at Ado-odo area occurred at Imoshe forest in Igbesa in the council with the assistance of the members of the community.
