Hundreds dead, millions displaced as rain misery continues

Monsoon rains have claimed hundreds of lives across Asia, authorities reported Monday, as rescuers scrambled to reach remote areas of India, Pakistan and Myanmar after flash floods and landslides. Authorities in India say more than 120 people have died across the country in recent days, while more than a million have been displaced by rains worsened by a cyclone that barrelled through the Bay of Bengal last week.

No Going Back On N6.9 Billion Alade Market Re-development – LASG

The Lagos State Government said on Sunday that there was no going back on the redevelopment of the Alade Market in Ikeja, into a N6.9billion mega-shopping mall. The contract for the redevelopment of the market was in 2010 granted to Master Reality International Concepts Ltd, which is investing N6.9 billion on the project under a 30-year concession on a Build, Own and Transfer (BOT) basis.

India blocks 857 pornographic websites

The Indian government on Monday in New Delhi, told internet service providers and telecom operators in the country to block 857 pornographic websites.
