Prince Adewale Laoye  who prides himself as the “Drummer of Peace” is currently in the studio, working on a new album that will promote peace and unity in the country.

The multi-talented artiste is said to be coming out with a unique traditional flavor and treasured musical rhythms of peace that will surely inspire music lovers as it propagates the messages of peace and unity in the country.

“The African talking drums as played by this master virtuoso is more than ever ready to spread like wild fire once it hits the world,” a source said.

Laoye is an exponent of talking drum. Few years ago, he championed  the revival of the Yoruba talking drum culture among the youths in the South-West.

The talking drum, according to him, is the vocalization and articulation of thoughts and philosophy of the Yoruba man through drumming messages are contextual and illustrative. He once regretted that the act of talking drum is steadily going into extinction, callling all and sundry to ensure that it did not happen.
