Robert Ugbaja, chairman, Boulos Enterprises Limited made this known during the company’s Motorcycle Dealers Conference in Lagos recently. The business conglomerate used the occasion to appreciate many dealers of company that came from different parts of the country and conducted them round the plant where the various products of the company roll out from.
The guests were conducted round the factory to see the different stages of motorcycle assembly line including finished product, testing platform as part of Boulos quality control measures. Participants at the conference used the opportunity to express some of the challenges facing them, which includes spare parts availability and financing.
They also commended Boulos management for maintaining high product standards since inception over four decades ago and pointed out the company’s commitment to high ethical standards has to a large extent separated them from other competitors.
Boulos Enterprises Limited, in partnership with Suzuki Motors Company Japan, Haojue (Dachangjiang Group ,China) and Piaggio Vehicle Company, offer high quality motorcycles, designed to suit the Nigerian climatic conditions and environments.
Stanley Evans, General Sales and Marketing Manager, Boulos Enterprises noted that what distinguishes BEL from competitors were their exceptional range of motorcycles designed to meet the demand of the market in terms of customer satisfaction, quality, technology and reliability.
“At Boulos, a great deal of priority is placed on after sales service support in terms of provision and availability of genuine spare parts with over $5 billion of inventory. This is backed up by professionally trained engineers and technicians because we are not only sales oriented but market focused in delivering satisfaction to our customers and partners for life.” This he said has improved our friendship with customers thereby giving BEL a competitive edge over other brands in the market,” he added.
Julian Hardy, General Sales And Marketing Manager, Boulos emphasised that has a well-structured dealership network to make its products available to customers. The motorcycle brands includes Suzuki, Haojue, Piaggio, Robinson, Derbi, Aprillia and Moto Guzzi.
He said, there are two types of commercial / Okada Motorcycles sold in Nigeria. The first type is a modern design in terms of appearance, engine and electronic technology, requiring low maintenance and delivering excellent fuel economy and reliability, as well as well equipped safety standard safety features. All of the products sold by Boulos fit into this category.
The other type is based on the 1960’s designs, no longer sold in their countries of origin; they require recurrent parts replacement and frequent servicing. The material used for the frame and chassis declines rapidly and compromises the safety of riders. They are very poorly equipped and effectively dumped in Nigeria from their country of origin.
In the midst of all these not-too-pleasant piece of news, in summary Boulos Enterprises Limited has a range of motorcycles to suit any market conditions in Nigeria. The company offer 31 different models from five renowned and respected brands and all are ultra-modern motorcycles.
