4-year-old disappears in Ondo

*I suspect my ogogoro customer—MOTHER

Akure—THE Criminal Investigation Department, CID, of Ondo State Police Command is investigating the mysterious disappearance of a four-year-old boy, identified as Sunday Daniel, who was last seen in his parents’ house in Akure, Ondo State.

Sources alleged that the victim was taken away by an unknown person while he was playing with his mates at Alaba Sawmill area in Akure metropolis.

It was alleged that a man, who is the missing boy’s mother’s customer, was the last person seen with the boy. The boy’s mother, Maria, sells alcoholic drinks in area.

Report had it that Maria’s customer, identified as Sunday, reportedly lured the boy from where he was playing with his mates with a promise to buy him biscuits. Police detectives are on the trail of the suspect.

Confirming the incident, spokesman of police in the state, Wole Ogodo, said the boy’s mother reported the case at Ifesowapo Police Post located in the area.

Ogodo said the mother of the child, in her statement, said she suspected a man who usually bought alcoholic drinks (Ogogoro) from her.

He assured that police would employ all necessary strategies to rescue the victim and smoke out the suspect from hiding.

Ogodo appealed to parents to always be vigilant and look after their children.
