PDP NWC members should resign now —ONYECHERE

THE President, Igbo Question Movement, IQM, and former Special Assistant to Dr. Alex Ekwuemee, Mr. Ben Onyechere, has said that the refusal of the remaining members of the National Working Committee, NWC, of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, after the chairman had long gone is very regrettable.

According to him, the value of the party has continued to “depreciate on a daily basis.”

He said: It is important for them to know that their exit from the head office is unavoidable because majority of the party faithful have lost confidence in them. Their continued stay is only a reminder of the era of impunity with which they deceived former President Goodluck Jonathan and made fortunes for themselves at the expense of the party.

“Recent events have shown that they can not position the party for a virile opposition to the All Progressives Congress, APC, because opposition is not about attacking every move of government in a careless manner which characterized their campaign method.

“First and foremost, you must swallow your pride and accept that they have no moral justification to be at the helm of affairs any longer because they have nothing new to offer and as such should do themselves a favour by resigning.”
