Everyday people die from illnesses that have easy cures . They are denied healthcare because they cannot pay. They die because they are poor. And many are poor because they lack opportunity. But even those who are poor , the way libertarians would have us believe , should not die cheaply. Our common humanity must mean more. Every civilized society must aspire to attain free/affordable health care for all its citizens.

That the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State suffered a setback in the hands of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 28 presidential and national assembly elections is no longer news, but what is presently at stake between the two leading parties is the gubernatorial election set for October.

WORRIED by its dwindling fortunes in Anambra State, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the area has begun moves to reconcile aggrieved members to be able to forge a common front for the purpose of regaining control of the state government.
