Coach Samson Siasia has said that the U-23 team will play their match of their lives when they tackle Congo in Point Noire next weekend for a ticket to the CAF U-23 Championship, where the qualifiers for the Rio 2016 Olympics will be determined. Nigeria hold a slender 2-1 first advantage over the Congolese but are in danger of crashing out if they lose 1-0.

Also, Super Falcons Coach,Chris Danjuma  whose side face a more complicated fate, following their 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea in Abuja last Saturday, promised to ensure that the team progress to the Olympics when they play their bitter rivals in Bata on August 2.

Siasia said “we are aware of what odds will be set against us by the home team when we go to Congo. There are no illusions. But we are up to the task. We are going there strictly for the business of 90 minutes, and that is what will matter. We will play the match of their lives

“Without being immodest, I like to say that I have been in this situation several times with various National Teams. I have always come out victorious. Of course, we will need the maximum support of the NFF to succeed,”added the former Super Eagles coach.

On his part, Danjuman said “We did not go to the last Olympic Games. We will throw everything into the second leg and then look forward to the final qualifying round.”
