Ugwuanyi swears in SSG

ENUGU—Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State,Monday, revealed that the choice of his Secretary to the State Government,SSG, was based purely on merit, devoid of sentiments or political consideration.

Ugwuanyi disclosed this during the swearing in ceremony of the new SSG, Mr. Gabriel Ajah, at the Exco Hall, Government House, Enugu.

The governor described Ajah as a thorough-bred civil servant, adding that his appointment marked a further demonstration of  the state government’s resolve to take what it believed would constitute giant strides in the arduous task of governing Enugu State in this dispensation.

The governor further explained that Ajah, prior to his appointment, was the longest serving Permanent Secretary in the state, having been appointed into the former office since 2001.

He said that Aja had served the state meritoriously and charged him to deliver on the new mandate given to him to justify the confidence reposed in him.
