OWERRI—Property worth millions of naira have reportedly disappeared from Imo State House of Assembly complex during the recent renovation carried out in the legislature by the state government.

Investigations revealed that some of the items that inexplicably developed wings while the renovation lasted included aluminium roofing sheets, cars, refrigerators, flat screen television sets and a host of other household and office furniture.

A staff of the legislature who spoke on strict grounds of anonymity, confirmed that a lot of items, including electrical and electronic gadgets, were moved from the top floor to the ground floor, before the renovation started.
