
Policeman get sets to quell protect of students of Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye in Abeokuta

ENUGU—Operatives of Igbo-Eze North Division of Enugu State police command have arrested a notorious electricity cable vandal whose activities had led to power outage at Nsukka axis.
The suspect, Samson Onoja,who hails from Ette, in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of the state was nabbed on June 7 while carting away four rolls of high tension cable belonging to Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC.
Police spokesperson, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed his arrest, urged members of the public to always avail the police of information that would nip crime in the bud.
He, however, warned electrical parts dealers who patronised miscreants for stolen items, that a special surveillance group had been set up by the command to sniff out those engaged in the act.
Similarly, Nsukka Division of the command has, after a raid of suspected criminal hide-out at Ikpa in Nsukka Local Government Area, arrested Chukwuemeka Emmanuel, Eze Victor, Ogbu Obinna, Ngwoke Victor, Ezeugwu Christian and Ezema Okwudili, who had been on the trail of the operatives over their nefarious activities in the area.
Items recovered during the raid include substances suspected to be Indian Hemp and other valuables.
