Senator Chris Anyanwu has faulted Prof. Wole Soyinka’s objection to the Sexual Offences Bill as passed by the 7th National Assembly, saying the Nobel Laureate was misled in his hasty analysis of the bill.

“There is a subsisting court judgment which has sacked them from office and indeed ordered a fresh congress to elect new and substantive executives for APC in Delta State. Until that is done, anybody that parades himself as Chairman, Secretary or any other position in a non- existing APC Delta State executive body is doing so in gross violation and disobedience to a subsisting court judgment.

Sokoto said the list of the new excos of the party was accepted by INEC. “This followed a convention report we (the party) submitted to INEC for consideration,” Sokoto said. Other National Executive Committee members elected at the convention according to him, were Dr Manzo Abubakar as Deputy National Chairman; Mr Bari Salau, National Publicity Secretary; and Dr Ola Olateju, National Organising Secretary.
