Lagos—The Executive Secretary of Apapa Local Government, Mrs Cecilia  Dada, yesterday, told stakeholders’ that unless prompt attention and lasting solution is found to the incessant traffic gridlock in Apapa, life will continue to be unbearable for all.

Dada, who spoke at a stakeholders’ summit on traffic problem in Apapa lamented that the major cause of traffic in her local government are tank farms and bad roads. Until these two problems are attended to, businesses and other activities won’t get the best they needed.

Some of the stakeholders’ who spoke at the summit said that potholes on Apapa roads should be filled as a palliative measure and all tank farms relocated.

The council boss expressed  concern that some major stakeholders like Nigerian Port Authority, NPA, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, Federal Road Maintenance Agency, appear unconcerned.
