Delta State All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in the 2015 general elections, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, has said that there was need for the Federal Government to deliberately focus on youth development in the Niger Delta, so as to sustain peace, security and economic development of the region.

Director of O’tega Media Campaign Communication, Dr. Fred Latimore, in a statement, said that at a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, Emerhor told the President that the people of the Niger Delta, especially Delta State, look up to his administration to address the injustice of the past administration by doing the needful to bring economic prosperity to the state and the Niger Delta region.

He urged the President to pay special attention to the welfare and training of repentant militants in the region to drastically reduce restiveness and push up oil production for increased revenue generation.

Addressing party faithful, state party Chairman, Prophet Jones Erue urged members not to relent in their efforts at ensuring that the APC in Delta State becomes more formidable.
