Aba—Former speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Chief Stanley Ohajuruka, has said the All Progressives Congress, APC, would take over power in 2019.

In an interview with journalists in Umuahia, Ohajuruka, who noted that PDP in the state was holding power temporarily, added that Abia State would be totally liberated in 2019.

He said:   “APC is the main opposition party in Abia State. We are going to rule the state in 2019. The APC in Abia State has all it takes to win the governorship seat in 2019.

‘’They are occupying their positions temporarily. If not for what they did in the elections, APC would have won the governorship seat and majority seats in the House of Assembly.

‘’We are now in power; nobody should be afraid of anyone in Abia State. I’m sure we will retrieve our mandate.”

Ohajuruka, a former member of the House of Representatives, who said Abia APC had been repositioned, described it as a party of the masses, insisting that the party had no godfather in the state.

He called on APC faithful to be steadfast, adding that with the calibre of people in the party in the state, it would take over power at the next polls.
