Stephanie Linus’ Dry wins BFF award, as she premieres reality show on Africa Magic

This must be a season of good tidings for A-list actress, Stephanie Linus as she is currently enjoying what can be described as career boom. First, was the recognition given her upcoming film at the  Geena Davis and ARC Entertainment’s inaugural Bentonville  Film Festival (BFF) in Arkansas, U.S. for “Best Protagonists”. Second, is her new reality show ‘Make Me Fabulous’ which was recently premiered on Africa Magic.

Picking up the award  on behalf of  Stephanie Linus was  the film’s co-producer/editor,  Jane Lawalata. Stephanie, who was obviously elated by the award could not contain her joy. “This came as a complete surprise.  I am excited and honored that the  Bentonville  Film Festival picked my film for a screening, let alone an award.  I am looking forward to this film touching  the hearts of many  more and helping people take action to save the child bride.” she gushed

The Bentonville  Film Festival (BFF) founded by Academy Award Winner Geena Davis and Trevor Drinkwater, was a star-studded event that included guests like: Soleda O’Brien, Robert De Niro, Nick Canon, Courteney Cox, Bruce Dern, Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of DreamWorks Animation, Helmer Catherine Hardwicke (“Thirteen”, “Twilight”), Rosie O’Donnell, Melissa Joan Hart and many more.

The movie “Dry” follows a trail of Zara’s  (played by Stephanie Linus)  trip to Africa, her constant turmoil as a result of inexplicable horrors from her child hood, her experiences and heartaches while working with  young girls suffering of complications from early child birth as child brides, against the backdrop of a rich African  culture. It is full of intrigue, suspense, unbelievable surprises,  the joy of reconciliation and the power of the human spirit that is guaranteed  to captivate and engage moviegoers.

The actress has also premiered a reality show ‘Make Me Fabulous’ exclusively on Africa Magic. According to her, the show is meant for married couples going through marital challenges. She also stated that the show challenges the norm by addressing the issues of marriage, albeit aesthetic, that might affect everything else. It is 30 minutes of rekindling love with the help of beauty experts.

The series premieres with 13 full episodes this new season. With appealing transformations and a once in a lifetime lavish and luxurious retreat, couples are set on a journey that will ignite new meaning into their relationships.

“I wanted to create an experience that would remind married couples of what they once vowed to do; that love always resides within if they just stop and pay attention. Giving couples a chance to connect without distractions, so that they can remember why they fell in love in the first place. This is a show that keeps giving, to ensure that love stays at the epic centre of a family. I want love to win in people’s lives, so I am giving it the attention it deserves.”
