Ahmadiyya youths ‘walk for Prophet (s.a.w)

Youth members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria under the aegis of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Nigeria have stood up to defend the personality of Prophet Muhammad (saw) in a rare procession in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State South-West Nigeria. The Walk-for-Muhammad procession was part of the group’s 43rd Annual National Convention, held between April 30 and May 3, 2015.

Sha’ban, the best month for sunnah fast

In line with the practice of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), a Muslim is highly expected to fast in most days of the month of Sha‘baan. Although, fasting in this month is not obligatory, but meritorious to the extent that the Prophet (SAW) did not like to miss it. In fact, it is reported in a hadith that the Prophet (SAW), used to fast so much in the month of Sha‘baan that he was asked: “Messenger of Allah, I have seen you fasting in the month of Sha‘baan so frequently that I have never seen you fasting in any other month”.

The workshop which is the second in its series is centered on developing strategies to combat maternal, newborn and child mortality in Nigeria.
