Embattled Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr Adewale Omirin, has challenged the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court in Abuja to stop 19 Ekiti State Lawmakers belonging to All Progressives Congress, APC, from impeaching the Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose.

Five foreigners beheaded in Saudi Arabia

Inmate escapes in Benin

An inmate of the Benin Prisons was said to have escaped from the custody of a warder of the Nigeria Prisons Service (NPS) on Monday in Benin City. Officials of the NPS are now in search of the prisoner, who escaped while carrying out some menial work.
