Former Senator representing Akwa-Ibom South constituency and Chairman, UACN Plc, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma has faulted the universal corporate governance code proposed by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, FRC, saying it amounts to usurpation of the powers of other regulatory agencies.

Anambra awards N1.5bn anti-erosion contracts

Anambra pensioners groan under unpaid entitlements

AWKA—PENSIONERS in Anambra State have been groaning under unpaid pension arrears owed them for years by the Federal Government, with many of them complaining that they have become tired of being tossed about by federal civil servants in charge of pensions in Abuja. Though they have been getting their state pension regularly, they alleged that those responsible for the federal pension frustrated them so much so that they had resigned to fate. New agricultural equipment abandoned in Ebonyi State Secretariat

ABAKALIKI—Brand new agricultural equipment imported by the Ebonyi State government for distribution to farmers have abandoned to rust away at the state Civil Service Secretariat, Unity Square, Abakaliki, the state capital. The equipment, which were worth millions of Naira include tractors, harvesters, planters and reapers were heaped at an open space in the Unity Square even as the farmers who were supposed to be the beneficiaries were wondering why the equipment were purchased in the first place.
