Ohanaeze condemns continued Boko Haram killings

By Vincent Ujumadu

Awka — Ohanaeze Ndigbo yesterday condemned the continued killing of Nigerians in the North by Boko Haram insurgents, even after the success of the conduct of the presidential elections, urging President Goodluck Jonathan to intensify the plan of action aimed at wiping out the sect.

In a statement in Awka, Anambra State, the deputy president of Ohanaeze Youth Wing, Comrade Arthur Obiorah, urged the President not to allow the insurgents regain any of the territories already recovered from the group by the Nigerian military.

He described as unfortunate a situation whereby lives and property of Nigerians were being wasted on a daily basis, hoping that the incoming administration would do something urgent to end the activities of the insurgents permanently.
