Man slumps, dies in Bauchi polling unit

Bauchi — A 38-year-old man has slumped and died on a queue at a polling unit in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Saturday.

According to the Public Relations Officer of Bauchi State Command, the incident happened while the man was waiting to be accredited to enable him vote during governorship and state Assembly elections.

He said: “On April 11, 2015 at about 15:30 pm, one Mr Bulus Tsanmani, 38 years, of Gwaranga ward in Bogoro Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State slumped on queue while awaiting accreditation at his polling unit in Gwaranga ward.

“Police patrol team attached to Bogoro division visited the scene and rushed the victim to General Hospital, Bogoro, for treatment where he was later certified dead by a medical doctor. The corpse was deposited at the mortuary for post-mortem examination.”
