
Orji: In the valley of decision

UMUAHIA—ABIA State government has suspended the tenure policy of eight years for permanent secretaries, head of non-ministerial departments and directors in the state public service.
According to the government, the suspension took effect from April 1, 2015 and supersedes all other previous circulars on the matter.
Governor Theodore Orji approved the suspension of the policy which had been in operation in the state for about eight years, saying the policy would not apply till further notice
The suspension was contained in a circular of April 16, 2015 from the Office of the Head of Service, Governor’s Office.
