The best answer for Ajimobi’s court jesters

The best answer for Ajimobi’s court jesters

*Gov Ajimobi

AJIMOBI’s political cum media spokesman should be pitied because he has turned his professional position to that of a glorified praise singer and lately a court jester blessed with the obsession to fabricate lies all in the name of providing service for his paymaster and seeking public attention.

He really deserves our pity. Festus has tried so many times through his write-ups to rubbish and insult the cousin of his boss, Senator Adewolu Ladoja who has been a shield for his boss. He believes he is doing all in the name of politics and that he is in a better position to decide for the people of Oyo State.

On each occasion, he has been told that the product he wants to force on the people to buy is a bad product that cannot stand the test of the time with the product he is out to rubbish, no matter the number of tricks used by him. Some of us can now understand why Ajimobi’s utterances and actions remain unmanaged.

*Gov Ajimobi

In an attempt to tarnish the image of Senator Ladoja, Festus has lost his credibility with the cantonment of lies usually fabricated by him. This is known not only by members of the public but also his colleagues. Many months ago, Festus wrote that Ladoja never constructed roads, he was told that he lied and the roads constructed by Ladoja were listed. Weeks after that, he wrote that Ladoja constructed roads but the roads did not last for more than six months.

Heavy traffic

Again, he was told that he lied and that the Mokola-Ojoo dualized 8.2 kilometers constructed by Ladoja despite the heavy traffic on it did not collapse even years after construction. Festus was also told the achievements of Ladoja during his administration, an administration he called a monumental failure.

In his last political interview with Saturday Tribune he admitted that the 30 per class of Ladoja is an achievement. He claimed that Ladoja joined active politics in 1999 and he was told that Ladoja became a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 1992. In his desperation, he lied that armoured tanks were deployed to Ladoja’s house to disperse protesters during Accord primaries and he was told he lied and that he should provide police report. How can such an incident happen and our vibrant press and the citizens press will not report on it. We can go on and on.

The question is – why should Festus continue to season his write-ups on Ladoja with lies, anger, abuses, hatred and ‘let me destroy him’ attitude? He even went to the extent of using God’s creation manifestations that he noted on Ladoja to denigrate him. Despite all these, Ladoja’s image is waxing stronger. As a matter of fact, his likes are providing the fuel for the continued rising profile of Ladoja. His March 7 interview in the Saturday Tribune confirms his worries that despite the series of attacks by Ajimobi court jesters, the popularity of Ladoja continues to increase in a divine manner.

After Festus’ many failures, he carried on his operation through another faceless group called Odua seekers of truth. A group that is not different from Ajimobi’s publicity consultant group of which he is a key member. With all the financial backing of the powers that be, all they want is to seek relevance and cause distraction by focusing on Ladoja for one simple reason because “ Ladoja is the issue of Oyo State politics today.”

All they do is ask questions. Questions that lack commonsense. Why ask questions if you are sure of your facts? Insinuations based on fabrications to gain political attention or tarnish the image of a political opponent cannot stand the test of time. The people of Oyo State are no fools. How can Ladoja answer questions that are based on insinuations. He has better and more important things to do with his time.

Silence is the best answer for court jesters. Why would Festus not find out and publish the facts instead of asking frivolous questions? Why would his court jesters not investigate STB bank to find out whether the bank took undue money to serve Ladoja’s interest when TIB was liquidated?

The important question that Festus and his Odua group should answer is why is Ladoja still relevant after eight years of leaving office? Why is it that despite the billions of naira Ajimobi is spending on billboards, adverts, spin-doctoring, propaganda, Ladoja is still the issue of Oyo State politics? If Ladoja is not the issue, why deploy all the APC Oyo State arsenal to attack and blackmail him. The simple truth is that Ladoja is the political nemesis of Ajimobi. It is the divine truth.

Ladoja

Since the Odua truth seekers are out for the truth, they should find out what happened to the five billion naira the Ajimobi government claimed they spent on abandoned five star hotel; why civil servants and pensioners are being owed in arrears: find out the truth about the 500 used agricultural tractors that became moribound immediately they were purchased: seek the truth about the N2 billion spent on the abandoned technical university and why Ajimobi publicly ridiculed his deputy governor during the launching of the state APC at Mapo?

They should find out the reasons for the poor result of Oyo State in the WAEC examination result and why up till now Oyo State government owes WAEC fees for conducting examinations.
