Okrika women summon Rivers Commissioner

By Jimitota Onoyume

PORT HARCOURT—Some women of Okrika have summoned the Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs Ibim Semenitari, to appear before the highest level of authority among women in Okrika, Egbele Ereme, to explain what she meant by a statement she allegedly made during the last disrupted rally of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the area.

Madam Bertha Adubo and others in a statement, yesterday, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, said that the commissioner allegedly made disparaging comments on the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, during the rally, adding that the comment triggered the shootings that aborted the rally.

The women who danced round Okrika said the commissioner, Mrs Semenitari, had been summoned to the market square of the community since last Friday, adding that she had seven days to respond.
