Emerhor faults call for Jega’s removal

The O’tega Emerhor Campaign Organisation has faulted the call by some Nigerians and some members of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the removal or resignation of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Attahiru Jega.

In a statement by its Director of Publicity, Dr. Fred Oghenesivbe, the Emerhor Organisation wondered why any sensible person will call for the removal of Jega at this critical time. Such a call, the statement said, was an invitation to anarchy.

“Surprisingly, none of these people has come up with any concrete reason to warrant such an action,” it said.

On the permanent voters cards, PVCs, distribution, Oghenesivbe said available statistics showed that the South-West, an All Progressives Congress, APC, stronghold, has the lowest percentage of 63.20 per cent distribution, with Ogun State having the least with 40.86 per cent distribution among the 36 states.
