DELTA GOV: Unemployed graduates root for Emerhor

WARRI—A Deltan Youth group made up of unemployed graduates, The Political Credibility Alliance, has endorsed Olorogun Otega Emerhor of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as its candidate for the governorship election of Delta State.

In an interactive session with newsmen yesterday in Warri, the group, through its leaders, Mr. Gideon Erhue and Hon. Yalaju Awani, described Emerhor as the sort of governor the youths of Delta have been waiting for.

According to Awani, “Clearly God has answered our prayers as we now have a highly intelligent yet remarkably humble leader we can all confidently look up to without expecting complete disappointment at the end of the day.”

While conceding that hitherto most members of the group had placed their hope in Chief Great Ogboru of Labour Party, Erhue, on his part, said: “Unfortunately one man cannot hold an entire state to ransom forever. Though we have long admired Ogboru, it is now clear to us that we simply cannot keep hoping on him only to regret our support for him when the election results are announced. He should have joined a party that can defeat PDP instead of this abracadabra situation in which he claims Jonathan will deliver him when the same Jonathan has vowed to deliver his fellow Party man, Okowa. We are left with no choice but to line up behind O’tega. At least his message and actions have been consistent all along.”
