Africa Internet Group, AIG has officially launched its Yaba office. The office houses six of its ventures in Nigeria. These includes: Easytaxi, a mobile app that connects drivers and passengers, Lamudi, an online real estate marketplace, Carmudi, an online vehicle marketplace, Hellofood, an online and mobile platform where people can order food from different restaurants across the city, Kaymu, an online marketplace and Jovago, an online hotel booking platform.

These ventures relocated from its office in Lekki recently to Yaba, a home to more than fifty technology start-ups including Nigeria’s online retailer, Konga.com, e-payment service provider, Paga, and online hotel booking service, Hotels.ng, etc. The office is spread across three floors at the same building that houses the popular Ozone cinema.

Conducting journalists on a tour of the facility, Lamudi’s Managing Director, Mr. Obi Ejimofo said the move was inspired by the fact that Yaba has become Nigeria’s e-commerce hub attracting a nest of technology and start-up companies, earning it the name, Nigeria’s Silicon Valley.
