Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate, Mr Nyesom Wike, has led senior PDP chieftains to Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of the state, where he was endorsed by the traditional rulers and political leaders to govern Rivers State.

Thousands of people in Opobo/Nkoro council who turned out in their numbers escorted Wike to the Palace of King Jaja of Opobo, King Douglas Jaja, where the royal father offered his traditional blessing for Wike’s governorship aspiration.

All the political leaders of the area announced a joint endorsement of Wike ahead of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate, Mr Dakuku Peterside, who hails from the area.

King Jaja after offering his blessing to Wike urged him to ensure that he executes key projects outlined in his development blueprint.
