ASABA—Governor Emmauel Uduaghan of Delta State will on March 4, be confered with the All Time Best Governor in Entertainment award, for his contributions to the development of the entertainment industry in Nigeria.

Coordinator of the group, Mr. Ogude Akpobome, in a statement, said: “The eight years administration of Dr. Uduaghan as the governor of Delta State witnessed an unprecedented human capital development in the nation’s entertainment industry.”

Akpobome said that the event which will hold in Asaba, will feature an array of celebrity entertainers of the state origin and their associates all over the world, who according to him, have benefited directly from the Uduaghan administration.

He said: “It was in Dr. Uduaghan’s administration that Asaba, Delta State capital, became renowned as the home of Nollywood. Today, Delta State has produced more than half of the number of entertainers in the country. Many comedians have become rich and it is now one of the fastest employer of youths who have talents as humour merchants.”
