LOKOJA—The Poultry Association of Nigeria, PAN, Kogi State chapter has said that it had not witnessed any bird flu in the state since the out break of the epidemic last month.
Chairman of the association, Chief Sam Bello who spoke in an interview with Vanguard in Lokoja yesterday said so far non of his members had recorded any incident of bird flu in their farms.
Bello attributed the absence of the disease in the state to the state government technical assistance and workshop on the said matter which helped them to take precautionary measures before the spread of the disease.
“Government interactions with organised poultry farmers in the state have been of tremendous benefits,” he said.
